real mean fish.at first he was shy so i always pushed him around with the fish net.Now he has an attitude out of this wourld nothing is safe in his tank.He will attack the glass to get me, chase my hand around the tank he is my favorite out of a altuvie,rhom,hollandi,red belly.This might sound funny but you have to train the fish like bother it, less food low light,put magnet window cleaner in front of him all the time.try it out

ordered him on a saturday afternoon received a call on Monday and fish was here by Tuesday, top notch site, he was a bit shy to the lights and new home but quickly ate the 12 feeders I had in the tank for the cycle, awesome fish no complaints at all

Yes these guys can be kept with other piranha....I have one in with two gold ones and a carriebe, and it is by far the smallest of the four and the only one with no nips out of any ofits fins. I can't comment on what will happen when it gets bigger but they seem to all get along fine other than the normal occasional fin nips

Awesome shipping what a spectacular color. I tossed in a feeder and he let it stay in the tank for 2 days!!! I guess he eats when he's good and ready to. An Altuvi will hopefully get to the feeders more anxious. Thanx Pedro!

purple spilo is just awsome when they get in buy 1 they are much better looking and more purple then in the pic get 1 you will be happy

This fish has its natrual beauty but its not as aggresive as I thought it would be.But I still think this fish is a 5 out of 5.
