.5' Black Piranha

I ordered my black piranha when he was on the site for $36 at a half inch. I got him in the mail and wow this thing was awesome when he was little! He would kill goldfish that were 3 inches long! I moved him to a 55 gallon tank by himself, and he has grown super fast after every water change. He is now 4' which is a huge difference than his beginning size last year. AMAZING fish to have,, very hardy, loves feeding at night. I recommend this rather than red bellies! Thanks AQUASCAPE! YOU GUYS ROCK!

Black Pirahna

Bought my Black from Aqua Scape back in 2007. My Black who I named Jonathon has reached almost 12' since I first received him at about 4'. These fish or at least mine seem to attach themselves to their owners. They almost become dog like. They get happy and wag their tail sometime splashing the water when it's good time. Unfortunately my fish has become recently sick. He tore his throat area open about a year ago and life has been a little rough since. As of right now he has developed white patchy spots 'iche?' And is laying on the bottom of the tank. I have propped him up right, changed his water, filters and added some water treatment. He's breathing but not really moving. Sorry for my lengthy post. I will be saddened if/when he departs. Bottom line, these are good fish as pets. Strong, big and healthy. I've had my guy for 8 to 9 years now.
